Disk images
« on: December 24, 2006, 12:01:12 AM »
Excellent website, inspired me to pick up a full collection of P6/NAU :)

All in binders too, apart from the smaller A5 ones towards the end. Complemented the AU collection nicely.

One thing is missing however. I managed to pick up a collection of P6 subscriber disks, but a handful were missing. The 1st 20 aren't a problem, as they are available on here for download. While it would be nice to own the original and complete set (the ones I have even have the original P6 labels that were laser printed on the ST then attached to the disk!), I haven't been able to source the disks to go with Issues 54 to 73 inclusive.

Would anyone happen to have these lying around anywhere that could be made into ATR images? Would be brilliant if anyone has them. Even better would be if they could be copied to real disks and posted (for which I would pay postage and if necessary, send on some 5 1/4 disks to image them on to.)

Thanks again for the excellent site.

Thanks for the positive comments.

We have all the cover disks here at page6.org, just haven't made them available online yet.  Our plan is to make all the disk images available on CD in the new year, so that people can have the whole collection without hours of downloading.

If you want original disks, they do come up quite frequently on eBay (UK). In fact, I noticed that someone was just recentlly selling some of those you want but the auction ended without any bidders! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110067034891. Perhaps they still have them?

Paul

p.s. Incidentally, do you have the Accessory Shop/Update Leaflets with your mags? We are looking for a few - see the 'wanted' section.

Thanks for the reply Paul.

The seller on the auction you linked to has been selling quite a few of the original subs disks, but none are the ones that I need unfortunately. All the ones I have got, from 21-54 and 74 onwards are all originals, he seems to be selling ones from issues 30-60 by the looks of things. I have him bookmarked as a favourite seller, so with any luck, hes just picking random ones out of a full collection to sell on.

If you get the CD compiled, I'd definitely be interested in obtaining it. Only thing then is that I'll have to either pick up a Catweasel MkIV and a 5 1/4 floppy drive, or an SIO2PC cable. Got a bit of a dearth of stuff for the real Atari at the minute...

I had a quick look through the mags, and I do have a couple of the loose leaf sheets. Rather than ask you what you need, I'll list all I have shortly.

Here's the list of what I found:

Issue 12: Accessory Shop
Issue 25: Reader's Survey
Issue 40: ST Order Form
Issue 54: ST Update / 8-Bit Order Form / ST Order Form / Atari Software Offers (XL/XE Only)
Issue 56: XL/XE PD Update / XL/XE Software Offers / Accessory Shop XL/XE Update
Issue 57: XL/XE PD Update / XL/XE Software Offers / Accessory Shop XL/XE Update
Issue 58: XL/XE PD Update / XL/XE Software Offers
Issue 61: Atari Classic Software / Accessory Shop XL/XE Update / XL/XE PD Update

Unfortunately none from when the mag went A5. If any of these are of use to you, just let me know.
