Please note that to use an ".ATR" image file, you will need either:

  • a transfer cable and associated software such as "SIO2PC" or "APE" to connect your Atari XL/XE to a PC, so that the PC operates as a virtual disk drive from which to boot the Atari. You could also use this to convert an .ATR image file back onto a real 5¼ floppy disk; or

  • An Atari emulator such as Atari800Win Plus to run the .ATR image directly on your PC.

If you had bought the original disks individually from Page 6 in the eighties and nineties they would have set you back over £1,500 but the CD is priced at a somewhat more affordable £6 + Shipping.
